What Does a Health Coach Do?

My role is to support the implementation side of the Bredesen Protocol®—the day-to-day decisions, habits, and follow-through that make your personalized plan workable in real life.


In our work together, I help you:

  • Translate your ReCODE® or PreCODE® Report so you understand what’s being recommended and where to focus first
     
  • Prioritize next steps so the process feels organized rather than overwhelming
     
  • Understand the seven pillars of the Bredesen Protocol® and how they apply to your goals
     
  • Co-create realistic goals and strategies that fit your life, preferences, and capacity
     
  • Navigate challenges and adjustments as you put new habits into practice
     
  • Support care partners or spouses, when appropriate, as roles and routines shift

What Happens Next (Step by Step)

Step 1: Set Up Your Care Team

For ReCODE coaching, working with a ReCODE-certified physician is required.


If you don’t yet have one, I can help you explore options or connect you with the support team at Apollo Health, who can assist with finding appropriate medical support.


Once your care team is established, you’ll select your support team—including me as your health coach—through the Apollo Health website. I’m happy to help with this step or take care of it for you.


(For PreCODE coaching, working with a physician is optional and based on your goals and preferences.)

Step 2: Set Up Your Secure Coaching Portal

You’ll set up your secure client portal in Practice Better (separate from your Apollo Health account).


This is where we’ll handle scheduling, forms, and secure communication with me.

Step 3: Schedule Your First Session

Once everything is in place, we’ll schedule your first session, where we will  clarify your priorities and create a supportive path forward.

Support with setup and technology is included at every step.

(One 90-minute foundation session + seven 60-minute follow-ups)

Each session builds clarity, accountability, and confidence as you put your personalized recommendations into practice.


You’ll receive:

  • A comprehensive foundation session to review your goals and priorities
     
  • Seven follow-up sessions for progress, problem-solving, and encouragement
     
  • Email recaps after each session so you know exactly what to focus on
     
  • Message support between sessions for quick questions and accountability
     
  • Optional collaboration with your practitioner (with your permission) to help clarify recommendations and support alignment across your care team
     

All sessions are virtual, and flexible payment options are available.

Frequently Asked Questions

Yes. All coaching sessions are held virtually, making it easy to connect from wherever you are. You can receive personalized ReCODE® or PreCODE® support without adding travel or scheduling stress—so consistency feels simple and sustainable.


Health coaching services are not currently covered by insurance.
However, many clients use HSA (Health Savings Account) or FSA (Flexible Spending Account) funds to pay for coaching.


I also offer flexible payment options and a limited number of Community Access Scholarships each quarter to help make coaching more accessible.


I believe personalized brain-health support should be within reach for everyone.


If finances are a concern, please mention this during your complimentary consultation.


Flexible payment plans and a limited number of Community Access Scholarships are available each quarter for those experiencing financial hardship.


This 1:1 coaching package is designed specifically for Apollo Health members.


If you’re not enrolled in ReCODE® or PreCODE®, my Group Coaching Program is open to both members and non-members who want to apply these principles in a supportive group setting.


Yes. Many of my clients include a partner in the process.


Coaching provides space for both of you to feel supported, build healthy routines, and stay aligned in your shared goals.


I also offer individual sessions for caregivers who want to focus on their own well-being and resilience.


Your consultation is a friendly, no-pressure conversation where we’ll discuss your goals, answer questions, and determine whether coaching is a good fit. You’ll get a clear understanding of how coaching works and what to expect if we decide to work together.


Most clients meet every week or every other week to allow time for reflection and action between sessions. We’ll adjust the schedule to fit your needs and pace so that you can make progress without feeling rushed or overwhelmed.


Yes. With your permission, I can share session summaries or updates with your practitioner to support a coordinated approach. This helps ensure that your coaching, medical care, and lab results all work together toward your goals.


That’s perfectly fine! Many clients begin independently and then seek coaching for structure, accountability, and encouragement. Coaching helps you stay consistent and confident as you continue your ReCODE® or PreCODE® journey.


Absolutely. Your privacy is very important to me. All coaching sessions and records are managed through Practice Better, a secure, HIPAA-compliant platform used by healthcare professionals.


Through your private client portal, you’ll be able to:

  • Join Zoom sessions with one click
     
  • Access session notes, summaries, and shared resources in one place
     
  • Send secure messages between sessions for quick check-ins or questions
     
  • Track goals and progress, if you choose
